John Cain and Kathy Sherriff

When ‘S.F’ told me what Shorten was saying to people about the night before, I immediately got everyone out of the bedroom and I quickly got dressed.

I had no idea where he was but it was dark and I knew the Saturday night party I had been looking forward to when I was on the bus on Friday afternoon, would have been in full swing.
‘S.F’ guided me to the holiday park’s large room which looked like it was used as a dining room or conference area.
As soon as I walked in I saw Shorten. I was no longer scared of him. He couldn’t hurt me anymore than he had the night before.
I walked straight up to him.
Shorten was walking around in circles, not knowing which way to turn or look.
I told him, with anger, to shut his mouth and not tell anyone what he had done. It was over, so drop it.
I immediately left the conference room and got ‘S.F’ to guide me to the cabin where he, my little sister and Cindy were staying.
As I walked in my sister approached me straight away. She had been drinking alcohol and said she needed to go to the toilet, but Cindy and the two girls who were staying with me were in there talking and wouldn’t get out.
As I approached the bathroom I overheard Cindy saying, “Did you hear Kathy had sex with Bill?”
I lost my temper and told all of them to, “GET THE FUCK OUT!”
All three girls exited the bathroom very quickly and stood in the lounge room while I stood there, glaring at them, just waiting for one if them to say one more word.
I can’t deny if they had uttered just one word, I would have lost control and got violent.
As soon as my sister come out if the bathroom I told her to pack her bags now because we were leaving first thing in the morning.
The next morning my sister was ready, with her bags packed and waiting for me with the driver to get me out of there and take us to the ferry depot.
As it was a Sunday the driver realised the ferry ran just once on Sundays, instead of twice. The Sunday ferry wouldn’t arrive until the afternoon and it was still early morning.
The driver offered to take us back to the camp but I declined. There was no way I was going back.
My sister and I waited for hours at the ferry depot.
We got there around 7am. I can’t remember if the ferry got there at 2pm or 4pm. Nothing mattered except I would soon be with my dad and we would be safe.
